Bismarck Local Area Zombie Eradicators Home Rules at ParallaxHere is the list of homerules we will be using at Parallax. All rules are subject to voting by the groups playing. Any rule found to be unwelcome or obstructive to gameplay and speed will be reconsidered.
1. Under no circumstances is a Hunter allowed to attack another hunter. Hunters are out to earn a name for themselves by slaughtering zombies with passion and style. Hunter who intentionally shoot or swing at another hunter will immediately be removed from the show, their camera shut off and evacuated, and their contract with B.L.A.Z.E. and their sponsors will be terminated, resulting in them no longer being allowed to participate in any hunts.
2. Any hunter who is in a position completely protected from zombies, things such as a completely barricaded building or second story, will receive no plug points or kill points for any zombies destroyed from such positions. The network heads believe that such areas are there for hunters to rest and heal only and viewers are not interested in a hunter who fires from safety. These positions must be declared before an episode begins and should be agreed upon by a majority of the players involved. Markers can be used to remind hunters of these "safe zones". Hunters may still freely enter such areas for any reason.
3. We are going to make a change to the way turns between hunters and zombies are made. Each hunter will take his turn in order of the board. After the last hunter, all zombies will take their turns. Zombies will go for the closest hunter in order of awareness as stated below.
- Harm. Any zombie attacked by a hunter this turn will immediately attack the last hunter to have injured them.
- Brain Radius. Zombies will attack the closest hunter that they can smell the sweet meats of fresh brains on.
- Sight. Zombies will attack the closest hunter they see if they have no scent to another hunter.
If there are multiple hunters that match the Brain Radius or Sight conditions and are the same distance away, go by the hunter Brain scores first, if this doesn't work then use the facing of the zombie to see which one it would most likely go after. If all else fails flip a coin or roll a die to determine which hunter has the zombie's attention.
Sound will be handled immediately after that hunter has made noise, letting a single zombie come towards the sound and possibly get a free attack in at the hunter who caused the sound.
[/list]
4. Because of the new turn system, hunters will be allowed to team up to kill zombies. If more than one hunter come together to kill a zombie, neither will receive the plug points for the zombie, and kill points will be divided. This encourages players to search for their own zombies instead of claiming the kill of a wounded zombie, but at the same time it allows hunters to concentrate fire on hard to kill zombies or work together to save a fellow hunter who may be overwhelmed by zombies.
5. The top hunter each night will receive the following. 1 extra plug point, 50 buck-a-roos, and 1 box of bandages. The top hunter will be determined by kill points made during the night. If there is a tie then the hunter with the least overall kill points will receive MVH. The network loves to build up hunters to cause rivalries.
6. Any weapon players wish to add will be considered. Many weapons will just be a rename of different weapons already available to hunters. Special rules on weapons must be voted on if the weapon is going to be used. If a weapon has been voted as usable in the zone it will be added to the weapons list on this post.
